Michael J. Fanning, DDS

Dr. Michael J. Fanning has been practicing dentistry for over 30 years. Raised in New York and Maryland, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Mount St. Mary’s University and a Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Maryland.
After graduating from dental school, Dr. Fanning continued his training with an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) Residency at the UNC School of Dentistry. He also completed a year-long continuing education course in Orthodontics in 1999.
During his residency in Chapel Hill, Dr. Fanning fell in love with North Carolina and made it his home when he joined forces with Dr. Deeb in 1996 to create Deeb & Fanning, DDS, PA.
He is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), the North Carolina Dental Society (NCDS), and the International Association for Orthodontics (IAO).
Dr. Fanning and his wife, Lisa, currently reside in Myrtle Beach and have two children, Jack and Samantha, and their adored dogs, Milo and Maggie. Dr. Fanning enjoys playing golf, traveling with his family, and pulling for his beloved North Carolina Tar Heels.
