Dental Bonding

Dental bonding is a cosmetic and restorative treatment that uses a tooth-colored composite resin to improve the appearance of a tooth. It is often chosen as an alternative to veneers for minor corrections.

First, the tooth surface is lightly etched to create a texture that helps the material adhere securely. A bonding liquid is then applied. Once it sets, your dentist places a composite resin over the area and sculpts it into the ideal shape.

After shaping, the material is hardened, trimmed, smoothed, and polished so it blends with your surrounding teeth. In many cases, dental bonding can be completed in a single appointment.
